The Power of MIND OVER MATTER
Question: "My horoscope said:
'you might discover a new psychic talent that you may not have tapped before: the power of mind over matter. This may also include spiritual healing. There is also the ability to see what lies beneath the surface of a person's mind. These abilities could be disconcerting if they aren't trained, so try to find a psychic development class in your area.'
I was hoping you could indicate what that means."
Psychic Advice : The power of "mind over matter" can take many forms. It is often referred to as "telekinesis" or "psychokinesis", which both refer to the ability to affect and move objects using the power of the mind (metal bending can be an example of this). The power of "mind over matter" is invoked whenever you direct your intention to affect change, for instance, with spiritual or psychic healing. The mind is an extremely powerful tool, and when you direct it consciously with intention, you can create and achieve just about anything you put your mind to.
Everything in this world and in this Universe is energy, and energy exists in both wave and particle form: the wave form is the energy that we connect with on the subconscious or superconscious levels, and the particle form is what our conscious mind "sees" or perceives as solid and "real". Our thoughts are energy, and these thoughts can be measured scientifically by analyzing our brainwave activity. The brainwaves of our thoughts go out and connect with other energy waves that are resonating on a similar frequency, and we affect and attract these energy waves with our thoughts and intentions.
Therefore, if you have the intention of using your power and energy (and drawing upon Divine energy) to help someone else to heal, AND they also have the desire and intention to heal, then you can use your mind to direct energy into that person's body and assist in their healing. It is important to remember that a person can only heal if they are willing to heal, and if it serves them to do so - you cannot ever override someone else's free will, and you cannot make anything happen to them or for them that they are not willing to experience and participate in. No one actually heals another person, all healing comes from within, just as all disease comes from within and is activated by certain energies, emotions and belief systems. A spiritual or psychic healer simply directs their power and energy, and becomes a conduit for Divine energy, to facilitate and support another person's will to heal.
Anytime you affect change in your external or internal reality, you are enacting the power of "mind over matter" by directing your intention. So "mind over matter" is really about harnessing and focusing the power of your intention; as with all psychic abilities, it will improve with practice. It is always best to use this power with reverence, respect and gratitude, because the ego can get you in trouble as this power intensifies.
In my Advanced Intuition class, we fully explore the power of "mind over matter" as I teach you to direct your power and intention to help others to heal, even at a distance, and to positively affect energies of all kinds, especially in food and water. When we affect the energy waves with our intention, it affects and rearranges the particles, which is the essence of manifestation. This allows us to manifest any intention that we focus our mind, our heart and our will upon, and I can teach you how to safely and effectively harness and direct this power.
The ability to "see what lies beneath a person's mind" can occur in several ways, depending on your intuitive gifts. Some people who are clairvoyant (clear seeing) will be able to "read another person's thoughts" if they so desire. They will receive visual images of what a person is thinking, and will also notice what the other person's body language is expressing. Some people who are "clairaudient" (clear hearing) will hear words and thoughts in their mind or in their ears that are not their own thoughts, and may be picking up on the thoughts of another person. People who are "clairsentient" (clear feeling) will be able to feel what another person is feeling, even if it is different from what their words are conveying.
There are appropriate reasons and circumstances to use these gifts in order to know what another person is really thinking or feeling, but it is important to respect other people's boundaries and not abuse this gift. If you want to know whether a person is being truthful and honest, or whether you can trust someone, employing these gifts is essential. Simply set your intention within your mind that you want to know whether you can trust this person, then "read between the lines" of their communication. Listen with all of yourself, and feel what you feel in your body, and pay attention to what you see and hear in your mind. Most of us receive this type of information all the time, but we do not trust it, or even recognize it. The key is to learn to discern between what is yours, and what belongs to someone else. In my Intuition class, I teach you how to turn this gift on and off, how to direct it with your intention, and how to accurately "read" others, for their benefit as well as for your own.
People often get nervous around psychics, wondering if we are reading their minds. Most of the time, it is not very interesting to listen in on people's endless mind chatter of to-do lists, judgments and self-judgments, unless there is a good reason to do so. If your desire and intention is to help that person, then this is one of the tools that you can use to help them to understand how their underlying thoughts and beliefs are affecting their reality. If your desire it to protect yourself from those who might not be sincere, then this is an essential tool that you must learn to trust. But you must never use this type of gift simply to "eavesdrop" on another person's thoughts, no more than you would read their diary.
The reason that these psychic gifts can be disconcerting if they are not trained is because you may have been experiencing them all your life without consciously understanding what is going on. For instance, if you are clairsentient (also known as empathic), you may have been picking up on other people's emotions constantly without being aware of it. You enter a room and suddenly feel depressed, wondering what's wrong with you, because you were feeling fine a moment before. What has happened is that you've picked up on energies from the other people in the room, or even from the room itself (because places and objects get imprinted with energy - in the Advanced Intuition class, I teach you how to read and clear energy from objects and places). If you do not understand how to work with this energy and how to shield yourself from it, then you will experience "mood swings" all the time because of your extreme psychic sensitivity.
It is interesting to note that parapsychology refers to psychics as "psi-sensitives" because sensitivity is an important aspect of psychic gifts, yet our society dismisses these empathic people, especially children, as simply being "too sensitive". Sensitivity is a gift, and in my Intuition and Advanced Intuition classes, I will teach you how to use it, how to direct it, and how to protect and shield yourself, which is essential for an empathic person to do on a daily basis.
Your mind is one of the most powerful things in this world, and can affect everything in this world, yet it does not come with an owner's manual. It is believed that we use less than 10% of our brainpower, perhaps as little as 3-4%! By learning to harness and direct the power of your mind with intention, you can create, achieve and know anything that you focus your mind on. I can help you to train your mind to access and direct this tremendous power so you can enhance your own life, and help others as well. Some people are afraid of their own power, but it you infuse everything you do with the power and intention of love, then you can only do things that are for the highest and best good of all.
Each one of us has these gifts in one form or another, and each of us is meant to use our gifts to better ourselves, and life on this planet. This is how the Divine Universe communicates with us, directs us and works with us. All we need to do is learn to listen and to trust our own inner guidance, which will always lead us to our highest truth and our greatest joy, because this is what it is designed to do.
